In November 2022, Fushan Quarry, operated by China National Building Material Group (CNBM) with an annual production capacity of 18 million tonnes, became the first site in China to implement a fully integrated “5G + Battery Electric Trucks + Autonomous Driving” system, setting a new industry benchmark. Autonomous operations commenced in May 2023 with a fleet of 20 battery electric trucks. The site now holds the distinction of operating the largest autonomous quarry fleet in China and achieving the fastest deployment of Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS), reaching driverless operations within just two months. This milestone also marked EACON’s entry into the aggregate quarry sector.
