Baishihu Coal Mine_EACON Mining Technology | Autonomous Haulage Solutions

EACON partnered with Guanghui Mining to deploy a fleet of 500 autonomous haul trucks at Baishihu Coal Mine, establishing the world’s largest autonomous mining fleet at a single site. The operation involves loaded uphill haulage of overburden in extreme conditions, including wind speeds reaching 102 km/h, high ambient temperatures and narrow load and dump zones. A key safety enhancement was the adoption of left-hand traffic to improve visibility and reduce collision risks along pit benches and retaining walls. EACON’s ORCASTRA® system continues to deliver reliable, high-performance autonomy across the fleet, demonstrating its scalability and resilience in one of China’s most demanding mining environments. Over 500 autonomous trucks are currently deployed on this project, to our knowledge making it the largest autonomous haulage deployment in the world.
